Building and Code Administration
Building and Code Administration assists developers, architects, engineers, and builders in meeting all applicable State of Ohio & local codes.

City Manager's Office
Eric Norenberg, the City Manager, oversees the day-to-day operations of all City departments.

City Clerk/Clerk of Council Office

City Law Director's Office
The City Law Director provides legal advice and instruction to City Council and all City departments.

Economic & Housing Development
The Economic & Housing Development Officer, works with businesses, organizations, and other government entities to improve the economic condition of the City of Oberlin.

Engineering
The City Engineer provides design functions for City projects and oversees development of GIS information.

Finance
The Finance Department manages the City's finances and also oversees the Utility Billing Department and the Income Tax Collection.

Fire
The Fire Department provides fire suppression, emergency medical, hazmat response, specialized rescue, and fire prevention services.

Grounds and Facilities
The Cemetery and Parks Department maintains all City facilities and properties.

Municipal Light and Power
The Oberlin Municipal Light & Power System provides electric service to all commercial and residential customers.

Municipal Court
The Municipal Court provides the judicial functions for the Oberlin regional area.

Planning and Zoning
The Planning and Development Department manages the development process, maintains the Comprehensive Plan and works with other departments on their functional plans. The Department enforces the zoning code, subdivision regulations, floodplain ordinance, and building code.

Police
The department provides round-the-clock service to the community and endeavors to assist citizens in eliminating the underlying causes of crime, conflicts or safety hazards

Prosecutor
The Oberlin City Prosecutor's Office is the chief prosecuting agency for virtually all adult misdemeanor and/or traffic charges

Public Works
The Public Works department performs maintenance and repairs of the roadway system, traffic control signage, provides collection of refuse, recyclable materials, and yard waste, and maintains the City vehicle and equipment fleet and the City's network of water and sewer lines and facilities, including water towers, lift stations, and the water treatment and wastewater treatment plants.

Recreation
The Recreation Services Department provides numerous youth, adult and senior activities and programs and activities.
