Jon Clark, Law Director

Jon Clark was appointed as the City’s Law Director in April  2013. He has been in both private and public practice since 1993 and is a nearly life-long resident of the City of Oberlin. Prior to his appointment, Jon served as Chair of the Oberlin City Board of Zoning Appeals and has served on several Oberlin based non-profit boards.  Jon received his B.A. from Oberlin College and his J.D. from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.

Farah Emeka, Assistant Law Director and Chief Prosecutor

Farah Emeka is a career prosecutor.  She began practicing law in Washington State in 2002 at the Pierce County Prosecutor’s Office in the Criminal Misdemeanor Division.  After relocating to Oberlin, she served as an administrator for Oberlin College before joining the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office in the Child Support Unit.   She served as Chair of the Lorain County Urban League Board of Directors and has served on several non-profit boards in Oberlin and Lorain County.  Farah received her B.A. from Oberlin College and her J.D. from the Seattle University School of Law.

Rhonda Cruz, Administrative Assistant

Rhonda has worked for the City of Oberlin Prosecutor’s office since July of 2006.  She is a graduate of Grace Baptist High School.  She worked for Lorain County Clerk of Courts as a Deputy Clerk from February of 1999 until July of 2004.  From July 2004 to July 2006 she worked as an assistant to several attorneys prior to her employment with the City of Oberlin.
