Security Lighting Program

For the safety and security of our residential and commercial customers, OMLPS offers a security
lighting program. OMLPS will furnish and install a security light for the cost of the materials only.
(No labor charges will apply). A monthly fee for the use and maintenance of the light will be
charged on your utility bill and the amount of the fee will depend on the type of security light
chosen.

  • RESIDENTIAL:   OMLPS will install a  48w LED security light on an existing pole (if possible) or a new
    pole. Monthly charges for this light is $5.00 per month. Material charges range from $250 to
    $400 depending on the materials required for installation.
  • COMMERCIAL:  OMLPS will install a 96w LED flood light on an existing pole (if possible)
    or a new pole. Monthly charge for this type of light is $9.00 per month. Material charges range
    from $300 to $500 depending on the materials required for installation.

Tree Trimming Service

Having problems with flickering or dimming lights? Tree limbs rubbing or laying against your
electric service line might be the culprit. OMLPS offers free tree trimming to remove branches that
come in contact with electric services. Tree trimming shall be limited to pruner pole trimming only.
Removal and disposal of brush is the responsibility of the property owner. If pruning the tree will not
eliminate constant contact with electric service, OMLPS recommends the use of tree guard and
will install free of charge. If the tree will likely cause damage to the service line and the
problem cannot be remedied by pruning or the use of tree guard, the customer shall be notified of
the problem.

If the customer’s service requires extensive trimming not provided by OMLPS, OMLPS will drop the
overhead service line at no charge to the customer to allow for trimming or removal of the tree.
