General Maintenance Division includes the Streets, Sanitary and Storm Sewer, Central Garage, and Sanitation. This Division provides many of the everyday services to Oberlin residents.
The General Maintenance Division located at 538 Hill Creek Drive is responsible for:

- Street Maintenance & Repair – services such as snow removal, street and curb repairs, pavement marking/painting, and traffic sign maintenance for more than 58 miles of streets.
- Sewer Maintenance & Repair – overseeing the sanitary and storm sewer collections performing maintenance, repair and construction of several miles of storm and sanitary sewers.
- Central Garage – performing the maintenance and repair to the City's fleet from vehicles to equipment.
- Sanitation - services for residential, commercial, and institutional refuse and recycling collection within the City. Additional collections include: yard waste, leaf, brush and holiday trees. The division also manages a composting facility as well as a Drop-off Collection Site for materials such as glass, scrap metal, cardboard and paper.
